Watercolor Batik
I paint watercolor on rice paper. The delicate thin fibrous transparent paper accepts watercolors with a “loose, flowing and sometimes an Asian feel.” My watercolor painting is applied in several layers using beeswax as a resist between layers; typically light, medium then dark colors. More layers are used to define subtle color variations in my paintings.
